Cal Poly Racing Baja

Instructions for setting up an altium pcb project

  1. Make sure you are signed into the altium365 workspace
  2. Right click on the Cal Poly Racing Baja cloud and click create project Screenshot 2024-08-27 184854
  3. Name your project, give a description for what the PCB does, and add the paramaters pictured below to the project. The reviewer for all projects is Joe Keenan for now. Screenshot 2024-08-28 022806
  4. Click Create to create the project in our altium365 workspace
  5. Add your first schematic to the project. Right click on your project file and hover add new to project. Select Schematic. Screenshot 2024-08-28 150325
  6. This new schematic should be using the pre-existing CPR Baja schematic template. Screenshot 2024-08-28 160026 Screenshot 2024-08-28 160058
  7. If this is not what your empty schematic looks like, you need to update your schematics to use this template.
  8. Click on panels at the bottom of you window and open up the properties tab. Make sure you are in the schematic file and not selecting any components when you do so. Screenshot 2024-08-28 184720
  9. Scroll down to the section titled Page Options and expand this section. Screenshot 2024-08-28 184943
  10. Click on template and select the option for CPR Baja. This should open a pop-up titled Update Template Note: You must be signed into the altium365 workspace to have access to this template.
  11. Select All schematic documents in the current project and Do not update paramaters. Screenshot 2024-08-28 185040
  12. Click OK
  13. Verify that your schematic looks like the schematic in the image above.
  14. You are all set to begin working on your schematic!
